About Marci

Hi and welcome to the food side of TIDBITS! I’m Marci and I am so thrilled to have you stop by! Cooking for my loved ones brings me so much joy and I’m excited to share that with you.

My Story

Since I was a young girl, I was very confident that I would one day be a nurse (except for a 6 month hiccup where I insisted I was going to be a police woman). My goal became a reality and my journey as a Family Nurse Practitioner lead to a passion for teaching healthy living and wholesome cooking to my patients. However the short amount of time I had with my patients left me wishing I could do more.

My sister Cami, original creator of TIDBITS, is the one who opened my eyes to the blogging world. She helped me realize how much more of an impact I could have on the lives of people with whom I associate. It all began with a jar of homemade yogurt that I made in my Electric Pressure Cooker and gifted her one summer day in 2015. She loved it and posted my recipe; we were shocked at the response! In 2016 my passion for cooking, particularly in my pressure cooker, grew even stronger and we soon discovered that interest in my recipes was also growing. Cami and I wrote an e-cookbook, Master the Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook, that received such an amazing response that we added to the book and offered a printed version in September of 2017. From there, I was hooked! Side by side, Cami and I joined forces and expanded TIDBITS so I could continue to share my kitchen creations with the world. I owe Cami so much for this opportunity.

My Blog

I am the recipe creator, photographer, taste tester, and story teller of everything you’ll find on this blog. Here’s what you’ll get as you join me in my cooking adventures:

  1. Wholesome food that tastes incredible and makes you feel good, recipes made with ingredients that are easily accessible, and dishes that’ll make you famous with family and friends.
  2. Occasional rich and over-the-top desserts (so that my kids keep thinking I’m the best cook EVER!)
  3. Glimpses of what I call “The Good Life” which are my family adventures that make life worth living.

Me in a Nutshell

I’m a wife to my motorcycle dream man and a mother to 1 sweet girl and 2 high energy twin boys. I’m a lover of yummy food, 2-up motorcycle adventures with my hubby (I’m always the passenger!), Crio Bru, Thai restaurants, EARLY morning runs, gardening, the color Blue, schedules, yoga pants, bedtime kid chats, meditation, and the deepest, darkest chocolate money can buy.

I fear spiders, public speaking, spontaneity, staying up late, sushi, and camping that doesn't include an air conditioned hotel room.

I’m a wannabe singer, closet adrenaline junkie, hopeless interior decorator, and I start and end everyday with thoughts of what amazing creations I want to happen in my kitchen.

I reside in a small town in Utah where I find life's greatest rewards in the form of family and my belief in Jesus Christ. My husband keeps me sane, my children teach me unconditional love and patience, and I am beyond grateful for the life I have.

Talk to Me!

If you're new to my blog, check out the recipe index for all my favorite recipes and stay tuned for many more to come! If you have other questions or are seeking business partnerships, you can get in touch with me on my contact page.

Thanks for being here and get ready to have your food world rocked!
